Donetsk Region, located in eastern Ukraine, has faced some of the most intense and prolonged destruction due to ongoing hostilities. Many cities and towns have been heavily damaged or completely devastated, with critical infrastructure, residential areas, and industrial facilities reduced to ruins.

Affected Cities and Towns in Donetsk Region

• Mariupol – Nearly 90% of the city has been destroyed, including residential buildings, hospitals, and cultural landmarks. The city’s infrastructure has been left in ruins.
• Bakhmut – One of the most devastated cities, with nearly all structures reduced to rubble due to prolonged battles.
• Avdiivka – Severely damaged by continuous attacks, leaving it almost uninhabitable.
• Volnovakha – Heavily shelled, with most residential and public buildings completely destroyed.
• Kramatorsk – Repeatedly targeted, with critical infrastructure suffering significant damage.
• Sloviansk – Endured multiple waves of destruction, affecting homes, businesses, and key services.
• Vuhledar – Almost entirely destroyed due to ongoing conflicts, leaving behind a humanitarian crisis.
• Toretsk – Heavily damaged, with many buildings left in ruins and essential services disrupted.
